These are base bands to test a real offer against, not promises. Sovereign entities and giga-project employers pay at the top of the ranges; family groups and mid-market companies sit lower but often flex harder on package.
Saudi qualification and Arabic. Saudi-qualified, bilingual lawyers are the scarcest talent in the Gulf — the reformed Code of Law Practice increased demand for Saudi-national lawyers exactly as international firms scaled up, so this profile commands a premium at every level.
The employer's category. Sovereign wealth, giga-projects and regional headquarters operations out-pay the market. Saudi Arabia's RHQ licensing programme keeps pulling senior legal and governance roles into the Kingdom.
The package. Housing, school fees, flights and bonus routinely add a third or more to base. Two offers with the same base can be a long way apart once the package is priced.
Riyadh versus Dubai. Broadly comparable at mid levels; Saudi's premium shows at the senior in-house end and for Saudi-qualified lawyers. Both markets are free of personal income tax; Saudi VAT is 15% against the UAE's 5%.
